Navigator

The original building is a 100-year-old Tianjin shipyard, respecting and paying tribute to the historical significance of the original building. The designer designed the project through the concept of a large ship driving on the sea, connecting the original showroom and the sales office which two separate buildings, through a corridor to form a complete building, and using the streamlined shape of the ship to design the building's outline, and with the design of the waterscape, the shape of thea large ship driving on the sea is formed.

Shimao Loong Palace

Loong Palace draws on the painting Fairyland of Peach Blossoms by the painter Qiu Ying in the Ming Dynasty for the context. It covers about 17,000 square meters and faces the Western Hills of Beijing. Adhering to the product proposition of cultural relics begets all things in the world, the project becomes a new landscape combined with the pith of southern and northern gardens to realize the ideal living environment for modern people.

Cliff House

This is a fishing cabin with a mountain view, on the bank of Heaven River (‘Tenkawa’ in Japanese). Made of reinforced concrete, the shape is a simple tube, six meters long. The roadside end of the tube is counterweighted and anchored deep in the ground, so that it extends horizontally from the bank and hangs out over the water. The design is simple, the interior is spacious, and the riverside deck is open to the sky, the mountains and the river. Built below the road level, only the roof of the cabin is visible, from the roadside, so the construction does not block the view.

Playoho

PLAYOHO Art Pavilion comprises of 28 nos. of circular rings on columns with different materials and characters which moves in wind and cast shadows on ground. It creates a free public space for citizens to stop their hectic pace, stay, and hang around freely. Appreciating the skylight and wind. It encourages the public to slow down and rest on the lawn and have a moment of free play, or doing nothing practically but watching the wind move the rings.

MODERN LODGE

Inspired by the owner's creative process of capturing an experience with a still photo, the house is two simple platonic forms - one resting on the other - pulled apart to create an aperture to the lake. The view is revealed once you enter the house, leaving the city behind and immersing yourself in lake living. The main public space is a wood clad, two-story volume filled with light and the lake view. This is contrasted by a crisp, white stucco volume housing the private functions. Large boulders unearthed during construction connect the house to the land, otherwise leaving the lot natural.

Da Chang Muslim Cultural Center

This is a poetic sanctuary that shows people both the brilliant Islamic culture and our vision for a better life. This is also a homelike cultural center that provides a spiritual home for local residents especially Muslims. Based on traditional mosque, the building subtly interprets the spatial structure of mosque with new materials and technologies.The dome sees the translation and abstraction of Islamic symbols rather than simple mimicking. We constitute the dome with petaloid shells and creatively transform the interior space into a semi-exterior roof garden flooded with sunshine, air.
