The Lesser Polish Eaves Cottage

The Lesser Polish Eaves Cottage is a house which was inspired by the Polish wooden arcade architecture. The search for regional features characteristic for single-family housing led designer to discover forgotten traditional eaves houses of the region. The design was created in order to accommodate a 4-person family space, located on the unusual long and narrow plot of irregular shape. There were separated as many as five different levels, legally falling within the definition of a two-story building.

Hangzhou Haishu

The project of Hangzhou Haishu School includes a kindergarten and a primary school. The school project consists of teaching buildings, an administration building, a gym, a canteen, etc. All the functional spaces are connected in series through corridors, inner courtyards and corridors of different opening degrees. Exposed stairs and corridors shaped dynamically are not only designed for circulation, but also for plenty of activity spaces.

Dan Mo

This project is a retirement residence owned by a retiree who has been retired from a complex business environment but still remains with a pure living mindset. The designer chooses the lotus which symbolizes purity as it is out of the silt but not imbrued to reflect the life outlook of the residence owner while deploying architectural elements to portray the overlapping petals of lotus and the parallel pattern on the petals. On top of that, the matt-finished concrete grey symbolizing a sense of serenity also a humble life.

Qingdao Pingdu Olympic Center

Qingdao Pingdu Olympic Sports Center is the first project in China to combine Space Efficiency Theory with practice. This project is the main venue of the 34th National Game, Shandong Province. Through the reorganization of the internal functional system, it not only reduces the building area, but also improves the space use efficiency and space flexibility, which makes it possible for daily use after the National Game. Based on this, these buildings present distinct characteristics in the city, establishing a precise and organic relationship with the surrounding environment at the same time.

Midea Heyou

Located in the city of Foshan, the hospital will serve as a comprehensive medical center, shifting from a traditional treatment led to a health led approach, accessible to the whole community, applicable to the whole life cycle and covering the whole medical spectrum. Inspired by the ancient waterways townscape, the design features interlocking landscape corridors to open up the indoor space to create a healing garden hospital that has a symbiotic relationship with nature. It is also a civic garden house that fully integrates energy-saving technology.

Dongguan CBD Parking Building

The inspiration of this project combines both the unique meandering water bodies of Dongguan and the unique core location of the site, the design team proposing to extend the two major streets as flowing, water like ribbons, in order to reform the chaotic existing parking conditions in the vicinity and establish the spatial and facade languages for the new garage building. Using the "infinitely flowing loops" to organize the traffic circulation, two independent yet equally dynamic curves spiral up and intertwine, forming an architectural image as an urban sculpture.
