Aida Sekkei Precut

Aida Sekkei's new factory plan focuses on wood precutting. Its concept is all about creating an architecture which embodies the series of timber processing. It includes a floating, glass enclosed walkway approximately 100 meters long inside the factory, designed for visitors to closely observe the entire pre-cutting process. Wood and stone cover the facades, following local building traditions. The design creates a respectful dialogue between contemporary and German vernacular architecture.

Jenga

Jenga is a two-story public building located at the entrance of a residential community. The building covers 1200 square meters and holds four functions: commercial space, a community lobby, a property management office, and an equipment room. The irregular and limited site is addressed by stacking and reorganizing these four areas like toy building blocks. A steel structure forms the main body, while thin aluminum panels with rounded curves cover the outer walls. Light strips and glass surfaces reveal the interior functions.

Benjakitti

Benjakitti Park is located on the site of a disused tobacco factory in central Bangkok. The park's design incorporates wetland and forest ecosystems that deliver services including urban flood management, purification of polluted canal waters, and habitat for native plants and wildlife. The boardwalks and skywalks that crisscross the park are designed to immerse visitors in nature and to encourage them to reflect upon how humans and nature might live in harmony. The designers’ ambition is for the park to demonstrate the potential for nature-based approaches to urban sustainability.
