The Cutting Edge

The cutting Edge is a dispensing pharmacy related to the neighboring Daiichi General Hospital in Himeji City, Japan. In this type of pharmacies the client doesn’t have direct access to the products as in the retail type; rather his medicines will be prepared in the backyard by a pharmacist after presenting a medical prescription. This new building was designed to promote the image of the hospital by introducing a High-tech sharp image in accordance with an advanced medical technology. It results in a white minimalistic but fully functional space.

Heavenly Water

Due to the unique nature of the service centers, which have to handle large circulation flow, the design ensure visitors from all directions can reach the service center area swiftly; and at the same time, it provides for visitors who can’t gain access into the service centers momentarily as a venue for viewing and resting.

Yukyu En

“Yukyu En”, Garden of Eternity, consists of six gardens. Each plays a unique role in the process of saying goodbye to a loved one. The main garden is a modern kare-sansui viewing garden named “Tabidachi no iwa”, Garden for Setting Off on a Journey. The front part represents the present life, while the rare part, which features a single tree among the rocks and gravels, is the afterlife. The white sand that connects two parts represents the mythical river, where the dead move to the afterlife. Another garden, which reflects the changing sky in the pool, reminds the transience of life.

Villafound Jade Hotel Lijiang

The Villafound Jade in Lijiang is located at Yuhu Village, which is a picturesque village beside a lake and under Yulong Snow Mountain. Villafound Jade is composed of 13 detached villas, including a folk custom museum, a restaurant with tea bar, and the rest is lodging areas. In term of architecture intervention, the architect applied Naxi residence elements largely and maintained the rustic beauty of Naxi traditional dwellings, meanwhile, modern design method was used to meet the demand of living comfort for contemporary people, purposing to create a perfect and balanced luxury retreat.

Manshausen Island Resort

The resort off the coast in Northern Norway is situated in an impressive natural scenery, which inspired the conceptual design of the cabins to provide a welcome shelter from the harsh climate, while the cantilevered glass structure gives a feeling of floating on the sea. A naked, but respectful, exposure to the natural elements on the outside. With time and weathering the wood will turn silver grey, like the natural colors of the landscape around. The cabins where carefully placed to provide individual privacy while leaving the existing landscape untouched.

Bench for BLM Group

A metal bench laser cut designed by Enrico Azzimonti produced by using an innovative productive approach: it is time to break the patterns and overcome the technological limitations that till now have bound the tube processing only to some application fields. It's conceived and projected for outdoor: made for stainless steel, it is resistant to weathering. The idea is to design a chair technically and ergonomically correct and, at the same time, flexible according to various forms of social aggregation.
