House of Tubes Residential

House of Tubes

The project is the fusion of two buildings, an abandoned one from the 70's with the building from the current era and the element that was designed to unite them is the pool. It is a project that has two main uses, the 1st as a residence for a family of 5 members, the 2nd as an art museum, with wide areas and high walls to receive more than 300 people. The design copies the back mountain shape, the city's iconic mountain. Pan'an Wetland Urban Park and Landscape Design

Pan'an Wetland

Pan'an Wetland is a wetland park created on a former coal mining subsidence area in Xuzhou, China. The design restores the damaged land instead of replacing it. Soil is rebuilt through methods such as stripping the cultivated layer and layered backfilling to recover fertility. Two rivers are linked to form a circulating water system that feeds the wetland and helps purify urban water. Native trees, shrubs and grasses support biodiversity. A zigzag plank road and a bird watching platform let visitors observe the water and land habitats.

Nature Canvas Sales Center

Nature Canvas

Nature Canvas is a sales center in Taichung with a total area of 495.86 square meters. The design is inspired by Uluru in Australia and by the cave dwellings of ancient times. The building forms a large stone-like volume clad with fiber cement board and painted with ceramic paint, which imitates a rough rock surface and adds weather and stain resistance. The white volume acts as a canvas for sunlight and shadow. Hexagonal openings with inlaid metal frames and a rhombus lattice, modularized by digital die cutting, shift in appearance with the changing light.

Xerolithi Residence

Xerolithi

A house that blends in its natural environment. Steep rough slopes, scattered thorny bushes, along with short stone retaining walls, locally called xerolithies created a long time ago for land cultivation purposes. The main facades of the house are formed as xerolithies. These walls that have a lightness like ribbons in the air and seem to be moving gently closer and away of the slope and independently from one another, forming living spaces in between them. The roof covered with dirt and vegetation imitates the natural landscape, making the house almost invisible.
