The Wine Hub Residence and Restaurant

The Wine Hub

The Wine Hub is a village building that combines a residence and a restaurant. The design aims to create a gathering place and to renew interaction among neighbours. Horizontal fins, inspired by traditional wine rack storage, shape the facade. The fins come in six different sizes, creating varied density that filters wind and sunlight and gives each interior function a different level of privacy. Glass panels on the ground floor can be opened, so the boundary between inside and outside is softened and the surrounding nature is brought into the interior.

Panorama Villa Residence

Panorama Villa

Alluding to the structure of a typical Mani village, the concept is conceived as a series of individual stone fragments revolving around the atrium, entrance and living spaces. The rough volumes of the residence open a dialogue with their natural surroundings, while the rhythm of their openings either ensures privacy or invites in panoramic views of the horizon, constructing a direct experience of successive and diverse narratives. The Villa is located in Navarino Residences, a collection of luxury villas for private ownership at the heart of Navarino Dunes resort.

Shared Yard

Shared

Shared Yard is a rural guest house located in Beijing, China. Shared Yard was created by reconstructing an abandoned dwelling typical of northern China, with wooden window frames, brick walls and tiled roofs. The old house was preserved and connected to new buildings made of carbon steel plate, concrete and white oak finish. Existing trees shade the new volumes, which are placed in ventilated positions so that air conditioning is not needed in summer. Rainwater and purified water are used to irrigate the surrounding fields.

The Big Roof Fire Station

The Big Roof

The Big Roof is a fire station in Keelung, Taiwan, a mountainous and rainy city. The design adapts the local mountain house style, so the building reads as a landmark and still blends into the terrain. A large sloping roof forms a new layer over the mountain surface. Balconies and openings create sheltered spaces between the landscape and the building. These spaces add depth, reduce direct sunlight in summer and allow natural ventilation. A scenic path beside the fire station leads to the park and the surrounding landscape.

Poly Chief Palace Sales Center

Poly Chief Palace

Poly Chief Palace is a sales center in the Tiexi District of Shenyang. Vinegar Vats House and Architecture Studio

Vinegar Vats

This incredible adaptation of a disused vinegar factory was carried out in an entirely sustainable manner. Not only does it use a natural stack effect to cool the space, its construction was done with a zero waste solution. No skips were used. Everything on site was re-used, recycled, or re-purposed. The basement was converted into an architecture studio with a 3 storey family home above. The vats were cleverly repurposed as planters, workstations, toilets, laundry, and even a fishpond. Natural light pours into the building as a result of removing a third of the roof to create a garden court.

Caishi Residential Area

Caishi

Caishi China Railway City is a residential complex built in Jinan, China. The design follows a new Chinese style that joins classical order and proportion with modern function. Stair House

Stair

This project challenges the residential design status quo, emphasizing the incorporation of environmental and cultural sustainability into its core principles. Through the reinterpretation of an existing typology, it expands the boundaries of what is possible within a narrow urban infill lot. The use of sustainable materials, deep planter guard rails, and covered outdoor patios encourage a connection with nature and cross-ventilation. The house is a reflection of how the relationship with nature and one another is evolving in the context of urban living.
